Lactation Support

Feeding your baby shouldn’t feel like a battle.

Support That Meets You Where You Are

Whether you’re nursing, pumping, bottle feeding, supplementing, starting solids, or still figuring it out, feeding your baby can be one of the most vulnerable parts of the postpartum experience.

At Embrace, we provide lactation support that’s rooted in evidence, free from judgment, and deeply attuned to what you need.

Our goal is not to push a method. It’s to help you feel informed, equipped, and emotionally supported through a process that can be both beautiful and challenging.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

What We Can Help With

Our lactation specialists and doulas offer care for a wide range of feeding experiences and challenges, including:

  • Painful or shallow latch

  • Nipple damage or engorgement

  • Slow weight gain or sleepy feeds

  • Low milk supply or oversupply

  • Pumping routines and flange sizing

  • Bottle refusal or introducing a bottle

  • Combo feeding and supplementing

  • Emotional overwhelm and feeding guilt

  • Navigating feeding after a difficult birth or NICU stay

We hold space for all feeding journeys. We’re not here to measure your success by ounces. We’re here to help you find what works for your baby, your body, and your life.

What Support Looks Like

We offer both in-home and virtual lactation visits. During your session, your provider will:

  • Discussion of questions, concerns and breastfeeding goals

  • Assessment of Mother & Baby's health histories

  • Observe a full feeding (or pump session)

  • Assessment of Baby's oral anatomy and a Suck Assessment

  • Help identify and troubleshoot challenges

  • Offer practical adjustments and techniques

  • Provide education on feeding norms and expectations

  • Help you create a feeding plan that feels sustainable

  • Answer your questions with care and clarity

  • Affirm your instincts and validate your experience

  • A written summary of our visit along with handouts and links

  • Referrals to other health care providers when necessary

  • Brief follow up phone calls, texts and emails are included for 2 weeks post visit.

We may also recommend follow-up sessions or referrals if additional support is needed. Our goal is always to walk with you, not rush you or dismiss your concerns.
